Tim Muddiman’S NEW SINGLE, “Shaking”, Drops FRIDAY, JULY 11

CIA Records is pleased to announce a new single and video from Tim Muddiman will drop THIS FRIDAY!

At its core, “Shaking” tells the story of a man caught between the weight of modern responsibility and the persistent rhythm of his own spirit. Rooted in the atmosphere of 1950s to 1980s Britain, the track reflects a personal reckoning—between past and present, rebellion and reflection. The song explores the quiet ache of self-discovery and the search for identity through chaos and time.

Musically, “Shaking” draws inspiration from Johnny Kidd and the Pirates, planting itself firmly in the legacy of early British rock ’n’ roll—while spinning it through a noir lens of bluesy, cinematic tones. Co-produced with Nick Mailing, the track features Muddiman’s signature Gretsch guitar work, delivering a soundscape that echoes the likes of Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, and Mark Lanegan.

Lyrically, Muddiman wields surrealism and raw emotion with striking effect. Lines such as “my wishbone shattered from a fall from the family tree” and “your bulletproof youth” channel a potent cocktail of fragility, loss, and unyielding spirit.

“Shaking” marks another chapter in Muddiman’s ever-evolving artistry—a bold and vulnerable piece of sonic storytelling that invites listeners to examine their own truths amid the noise.

“Shaking” will be available on Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms beginning July 11th, with the official video premiere launching the same day on YouTube.
